Word from the Lord

My Love,

Whenever the time comes for you to pray again, study the Word again, minister again, help again, work again and invest in others again, you have been feeling somewhat deflated and demotivated. Inasmuch as you genuinely enjoy what you are doing, the seeming lack of sufficient evidence of results is discouraging you from continuing.

It is costing you so much, but the returns are dismal and almost embarrassing to mention to others, and the voice of the evil one keeps torturing you, “You are giving of yourself SO MUCH!! What are you getting out of this??” You are wondering what is really the use of it, and whether something really astounding will ever happen to give you a great testimony from it.

You have heard many success stories from others and you wonder when your time will come, or whether you are doing it all wrong? Is there something they are doing, like the secret ingredient in a recipe that they are not revealing?

My beloved, the secret may simply be consistency. The promises I have given you and the plans I have for you do not just call for your obedience; they also call for your patient endurance, consistency and persistence in what you are supposed to do.

There are different stages in the fulfilment of your destiny, many of which are unseen. But that you cannot see something does not denote its non-existence. Tell Me, My Love, how long did Cornelius faithfully pray and give alms to the needy before I sent him My angel to minister to him and gave him personal audience with one of the Chief Apostles in his day, who led his whole family to salvation?

He just kept doing the same thing, every day and every time. He stayed in prayer and kept giving. Really monotonous, it may have seemed, because he did not have the revelation of Christ and of the deeper things of My Kingdom in him at that time. But his consistency paid off. I accessed the people he could not access by his own power and connected them for the sake of his eternal destiny and that of his family.

You may be seeing no visible changes, but as long as you are faithful and doing what you are doing from a place of love and for love, do not give up. The night will soon give way to day. You are sowing in tears; you will soon return with a bountiful harvest, rejoicing and full of joy. I am not unjust; I will not forget your labour of love! I will reward your consistency.

Hebrews 6:12

so that you will not be [spiritually] sluggish, but [will instead be] imitators of those who through faith [lean on God with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in His power] and by patient endurance [even when suffering] are [now] inheriting the promises.

Hebrews 10:36

For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised.

James 5:11

You know we call those blessed [happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God] who were steadfast and endured [difficult circumstances]. You have heard of the patient endurance of Job and you have seen the Lord’s outcome [how He richly blessed Job]. The Lord is full of compassion and is merciful.

Luke 21:19

By your [patient] endurance [empowered by the Holy Spirit] you will gain your souls.

Your Exceedingly Great Reward,
God.
